We in Canada have a great love and respect for freedom of speech, provided you put up with a few niggling restrictions, like watching exactly what you say, when you say it, whom you say it to, and whether or not if it can be interpreted by someone, somewhere, sometime as "hateful." And please feel free to bring your Bible. But understand that you won't be able to read from it as we in Canada have limits not only on what you say, but what you believe…especially if you say it and believe it out loud.

I was at the National Cemetary at Normandy last summer, in June in fact. A bunch of French school children (middle schoolers, not babies) and these brats were running wild and throwing rocks and stuff and I was glaring, it's a very moving place.
Finally a teacher went off in French and calmed the whole lot of them down. No respect at all.
I was down on the invasion beaches earlier in the day – it's very still and quiet there and some German teens were kicking a soccer ball around and having a grand old time.
How 60 plus years makes a difference. I felt like the beaches were just as hallowed as the cemetary.

I lived in Canada for 30 yrs (without giving up my proud U.S. citizenship) and everything was fine until that idiot progressive commie Pierre Trudeau got elected.The whole country changed and the education system totally changed the children. Don't know about Randy being silent, but he was and is absolutely correct. Ann Coulter did not speak when Zundel was being judicially lynched. Nor did she speak out when David Irving was arrested and expelled from Canada for inconvenient history.
David Irving also received a letter telling him not to come to Canada. Except Irving's letter was from the Immigration Minister, whose job duties apparently include banishing those who offend G_d's Chosen people in Canada.
