In keeping with the new media notion of crowdsourcing–enthusiastically embraced by the mainstream media when trawling through Sarah Palin’s emails–Big Government will be providing readers later today with links to a document drop consisting of thousands of emails.
The email archive, created by a private cyber security researcher, appears to contain messages shared by the left’s anarcho-socialist activists during the strategic and daily tactical planning of the “Occupy Wall Street” and broader “Occupy” campaign this fall.
Big Government received a tip about the existence of the archive, and we were able to contact the individual who compiled and posted it. He will describe the archive, and how he obtained the emails, later this morning exclusively on Big Government.
Through “crowdsourcing,” the media and the public will then be able to discover the truth behind the “Occupy” movement.
The archive includes emails, for example, from radical anarchist organizer Lisa Fithian, who was profiled earlier this week at Big Government, and who is one of the leading organizers behind the Occupy movement.
In one email, dated October 1, Fithian applauds the launch of “occupations” throughout the country. She also highlights an ACORN-style illegal home occupation in California, linking to a television news story that reveals the involvement of the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), which is apparently the reconstituted version of ACORN in California.
Per the 8800+ pages of emails (3900+ emails), the Occupy movement has been in the works for some time. Its leaders apparently intend for it to broaden out and intertwine with the Days of Rage global initiative, which is set to begin on Saturday, October 15th. They also intend the demonstrations to continue indefinitely, as suggested in the following email, dated Monday, October 10:

The true purpose of the Occupy movement appears to be further economic and governmental destabilization, at a time when the world is already facing major financial and political challenges. By embracing the Occupy movement, President Barack Obama, the Democrat Party, and their union allies may be supporting an effort to harm both the domestic and global economies; to create social unrest throughout the democratic world; and to embrace other radical causes, including the anti-Israel movement. Ironically, the emails suggest that the President and the Democrat Party may soon find their friends in the Occupy movement to be a political burden. The email below calls for the Occupy movement to begin “executing higher-risk actions, civil disobedience and arrests,” and suggests: “We must draw a line, disavow the Democrats explicitly, make our messaging a little uncomfortable.”
The email exchanges in the archive begin on September 14th, 2011 and continue through this week.
Later this morning, readers will be able to read the emails for themselves–and the mainstream media will be forced to confront the truth behind the Occupy movement, including its links to socialist, anarchist, and possibly even jihadist organizations.
Brandon Darby, a former left-wing activist, will be following up in the coming days with his own analysis and interpretation of select email exchanges. After Hurricane Katrina, Darby became alienated by his former comrades’ anti-Americanism and propensity for violence, and became an FBI informant. In that role, he was essential to the prevention of a planned Molotov cocktail attack on the 2008 Republican National Convention. Darby is in a unique position to understand the key players and tactics behind the “Occupy” movement, and to help derail the left’s pursuit of broader global destabilization.

If the authors of the emails are known, is there any reason why these people can't be arrested for inciting civil unrest, especially Fithian? This is completely different than what the First Amendment states.
Just how long can we continue to comfortably observe this carefully planned action from afar? We see
the participants shenanigans as bizarre and ridiculous, but methinks it may be time to dismantle this one.

OWS is practice for bigger things to come. People are using this demonstration to learn logistics, improve communications and build a database of “useful idiots”. Next October the demonstrations will be more organized and better funded for the main goal, causing chaos in November 1012. What would be a natural government response to large scale mob violence in our major cities? Can we have valid elections if citizens in our major cities cannot freely move around? Would citizens be willing to give government more power during civil unrest? Once the situation calms down and we take the time to start the election process again, what would stop the process from happening again?

I live and work around a broad range of people from fairly wealthy to blue collar. I am in the Seattle area, the northern land of fruit and nuts so there are a lot of your fellow commie freaks up here. Among the folks I deal with the only ones I have met who support the commies in the so-called "Occupy" movement are union members and some but not all college students.
The main stream media is doing all it can to portray these freaks as crusaders fighting for jobs and that nebulous term "fairness" but the majority see these freaks for what they are…..nothing but physically filthy commies and burned out hippies.
These people are being used as cannon fodder by the Marxist,in a Marxist system people are expendable for the sake of the state,this is what we are witnessing right now,Fast and Furious comes to mind.
Parents, go to the demonstration and drag your children home. These people want them to be martyrs. What happened at Kent State was planned and you know it won't be organizers or SEIU that will die.

Reading those messages is scary. Obviously this cancer is growing and it needs to be cut out and stepped on fast. The commiecrates and the MSM, especially the New Your Times, are giving it legitimacy….a Howard Dean group is preparing 1 million yard signs supporting it to give an illusion that its support is much deeper than is true.

I think what you are trying to do here is silly and ill-advised. For one, the frustration of the protesters is, with a few differences, your own. I lean to the left, so you can take this with a grain of salt, but I am the same age as most of the protestors and, though not there, sympathetic to what they're saying and becoming more so each day. This "go back to mommy and daddy" stuff, besides being inaccurate, is also angering young people who were completely apathetic up to this point. This conspiracy stuff seems even more absurd. I understand there's a great deal of cynicism in it, that it's part of a game, that it's a war of perception and not ideas. Fine. But I think you risk alienating an entire generation from your cause. The last time this happened, when the "silent majority" dismissed the baby-boomers, you ended up with the very liberalism you say you hate.

And as a young person myself, I think each and everyone of these protesters are pathetic. If they spent this time trying to better themselves instead of protesting, they would be in a much better position.

Corporate America has the highest taxes in the world( it's all on the IRS website).Many corps have profit sharing where profits are given back to employees. Yesterday I saw a young Fox reporter in Portland Oregon talking to some of these whack-os….(I saw it on a video)..She said something like, "I'm one of you….I am over my head with college loans, and I'm paying on a home that has plummeted in value"….My first thought was….She mustn't have had too good of an education…Since when do you owe thousands of dollars for your education, and add more debt by buying a home….I don't know, but in my humble opinion, if you have an overwhelming debt, seems like you would pay it down or off before you took on more overwhelming debt…It makes ya wonder where their brains are, or even if they have any!!!

The OWSers could help themselves a lot if they'd actually start protesting the people responsible–they complain about bankers influencing government, then go friggin' protest the POTUS who's taken more cash from Wall St. than any other.

Somewhere where a reader can post a topic of interest they've found to see if other people have found additional info on the same subject (e.g., that last email had an interesting backtrack on how the movement is upset with the dems, and it would be interesting to collect alot of info on how the OWS crowd is actually mad at the dems as well as the republicans)

Yeah, a lot of protestors are just maggots, but some aren't, and they have some good points I think–they just haven't been educated well enough yet. But if they're looking around and thinking, isn't it better for us to try to help them see more clearly rather than insulting them?

Then because he said people didn't care about little porky earmarks and then he delivered Tarp to his NYC backers. "Occupy" is comprised of just about every leftwing extremist group you can imagine; unions, the CPUSA, Socialist Workers Party, eco-nutters, anarchists, MoveOn, and Islamic terrorist cheerleaders. The Dems have embraced this collection of thugs, derelicts, and nihilists as "inspiring". If it ever comes to blood in the streets thanks to the 'Occupy' nuts, Dems will be included as casualties. What DemLeft morons don't get, or admit, is that Tea Party protests are a lot different than the gaggle of communist malcontents holding Zuccotti park in NYC under siege. We want a return to the Constitution. We are protesting against socialist Big Government. The "Occupy" morons are protesting against America.
