Journalists love transparency. As long as they’re not the ones being exposed.
No steadfast journalism rule is unbendable when it comes to justifying and protecting the racket that is modern journalism, specifically, political journalism in the United States today. The ends justify the means for the Democrat Media Complex. They lie when they claim to be objective. They lie when they claim to be unbiased, because these so called “truth seekers” are guilty of engaging in open political warfare. And when the whistle is blown, they simply double down. “Journolist” — like Media Matters, but more insidious, if that’s possible — is an attempt to put the genie back in the bottle, technology and “the masses” uncovered the conspiracy:
Talk radio and the Internet have allowed outsiders the ability to challenge a multiple generational shift from journalism being about the story, to journalism being crafted toward a partisan end. From Newsweek killing the Lewinsky story to the Swift Boat veterans (until the undermedia pressure got too big) to the Dan Rather implosion to the open attempt to keep the Al Gore masseuse story under wraps to the John Edwards/Rielle Hunter debacle to the Van Jones admission of missing the story to the networks ignoring the ACORN video footage to the media playing up trumped up charges of racism in the Tea Party — while ignoring exculpatory evidence — to the mother of all media-as-political weaponry: the non-vetting of candidate Obama, the mainstream media has shown that it is in an ideological death spiral. And the ground is right here.
American journalism died a long time ago; today Tucker Carlson got around to running the obituary. What The Daily Caller has unearthed proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that most media organizations are either complicit by participation in the treachery that is Journolist, or are guilty of sitting back and watching Alinsky warfare being waged against all that challenged the progressive orthodoxy. The scandal predictably involves journalists posing as professors posing as experts. But dressed down they are nothing but street thugs. They deserve the deepest levels of public consternation. We must demand that they do.
The only way that the media will recover from the horrifying discoveries found in the Journolist is to investigate and investigate until every guilty reporter, professor and institution is laid bare begging America for forgiveness. Will they do it?
If the powers that be don’t comply with this demand, we can always call Jonathan Alter and Eric Alterman racists.*

The sooner these morally bankrupt leeches are financially bankrupt, the better.
What I don't understand, is, do these people, whether journalists or any other profession…do they not realize that Socialism, Marxism, Communism crap they are promoting, will have a detrimental effect on their lives, and that of their families, as well??? Are they really so stupid as to follow someone, just because they are a Democrat, blindly over a cliff…???
I realize that this has been going on for a very long time…they tried to hide Clinton's dirty messes, and made major headlines over everything Bush did, that they didn't like…where is the pride in your work, where is the honor?????
These news organizations will never go bankrupt. there is no doubt in my mind that they will be bailed out by this administration publically or by means of back alley deals like the left is so good at.
There is no honesty or pride in the media today. Everyone is in it to meet their own personal agendas. I don't know of a single news source that does not have a political lean one way or the other. The Bigs here seem to be pretty honest but they obviously have a conservative slant. Which is fine by me as I am a conservative. I sometimes wish for a dry news story with nothing but the facts, no matter who may look bad in the end.

It's so simple. Journalists are supposed to report facts. Hopefully without bias, distortion, or omission. These guys shed any pretense of being journalists long ago (if they were ever to begin with). Once you start down that road of covering for your favorite candidate's weaknesses or mistakes, you've effectively become an ideologue and stopped being a journalist. Let's face it-Many of Obama's blemishes before the '08 election were concealed by the likes in the MSM. I seem to recall one liberal talking head on TV back then saying: "We really don't know who this Barack Obama guy is." Well, it's no wonder.

The freedom of the press that our media has is intended to root out corruption, when that same media joins the collective corruption it becomes a very troubling thing. By the time our government "goes too far" in their expansion of power, the crony media will have a hard time remaining credible to those of us with common sense who see their hypocrisy daily.
Just keep blowing the whistle on Obamas propaganda machine and his made and paid for lame stream media.

I believe that it is even simpler than complicity. It's got to be about money, too. Everything always is about the money.
These guys are getting paid. My theory is that it's managed from CAP and MM with these reporters. Everytime they do a "good dog" thing, they get some cash direct deposited in their accounts. Soros has plenty of dough to buy off some shills now that they can't seel ads. Payment for this is entirely legal…but you have to wonder…do they pay taxes on it?
That means there's a money trail somewhere, as well as the Journolist trail.
This should be the obituary of the MSM but sadly, they will just lie and cover it up. Yes, they are losing share but still command an enormous amount of influence. Where do you think most "independents" get their new?
Ham, I once thought as you do. I believed that true journalists were supposed to look for and report THE FACTS and only the facts. Editorialists and opinion columnists (redundant?) were allowed to express opinion. Oh, how wrong I was! Recently I was set straight by a grad of a prestigious graduate journalism program. She informed me that the PRIMARY responsibility of a journalist IS NOT to report the facts, but to report the facts in such a way as to "lead" the reader to the "correct" conclusion. The "journalist" MUST inject their own "knowledge" of the situation, because the journalist, obviously, has a much HIGHER knowledge of the situation than the poor schlubs who are reading their work. Journalists are MUCH smarter than the average reader, and they have an obligation to use their higher intelligence to interpret the facts for the reader, or else we all turn into Fox News (she actually said that).
Of course, she believes that the reason that the NYT, WaPo, CNN and the other MSM outlets are struggling financially is because they have LOST SIGHT of this obligation. They are NOT injecting themselves into their reporting ENOUGH! If they would only shout LOUDER to be heard over the nutjobs at Fox News, we the poor, ignorant proletariat would follow their lead and understand that what is currently going on in this country is the smart, compassionate, path that we must all follow to finally achieve true social justice in the world.
After listening to this I just looked at her, open-mouthed and said, "Are you SERIOUS?????" Folks, she was serious as a heart attack! She learned all of this in J-School, and is disgusted at how most mainstream journalists have "sold out" their principles in order to keep their jobs. Un-freaking-believable! But it's important to understand the mindset of the enemy, and MSM journalists today are as much the enemy of freedom as any politician.
2 ways to explain it:
1) The power of liberal/progressive indoctrination. When brought up a socialist and only exposed to socialist idealogy, you become a true believer.
2) Even though the Country suffers under socialism, they consider themselves part of the Power Elite, and under socialism, the elites control more of a smaller pie.
I asked the staff at the newly formed "Unbiased" and "Objective" media organization The Texas Tribune — in the name of transparency — if any of their "journalists" were members of Boy Wonder Klein's Journolist (I suspect Evan Smith as a likely candidate).
One of their top political journalists, a former seasoned TV political reporter here in Austin, responded with, "Journolist? Never heard of it."
That was last week. Either she's a liar, or one of the worst political reporters on the beat. Or both.
Now is the time to talk about race. It is time to show blacks, latinos etc? who the Dem/media really are. They use races (also gays + women) to divide the US and push the national socialist party (Dems) for personal gain. It certainly, judge by observation, is not to actually help these citizens but to use the race baiter shtick as a means of attacking opponents and futhering their own greedy ends. Have you noticed how rich Bill Clinton got from "public service". Almost all the pols are greedy and self serving but only the Dem/media uses race and sexual differences to advance their own lifes. Do those being used like that their purpose is the foil to advance pols.

The O'Keefe ACORN video fails on so many points: the only story was the story itself, the interviewers mispresented who they were, the story was made with an agenda to destroy an organization whose goals they disagree with (decent housing and giving a political voice to the poor) , the story did not include a followup with the ACORN employees to explain their actions.
On March 1, 2010, the district attorney for Brooklyn concluded that there was no criminal wrongdoing by the ACORN staff.

While it is true that American journalism died years ago, what Americans don't need are the maggots like Drudge, Breitbart and the collective newsroom of FNC living and feeding on it's corpse. It's referred to as a public trust for a reason, but these and many other "journalists" have abandoned both trust and reason. A healthy democracy depends on a well informed electorate and these aforementioned "journalists" are by their actions, domestic terrorists, enemies of the state and should be dealt with accordingly. Would you consider taking a small snippet of a video speech that completely falsifies the intent of the speech to make a point part of the "ends justifies the means"?

Are Bloggers any better then journalists? Many aren't. Take Breitbart for instance. He deftly slices a sliver of video to falsely portray a person as a racist, then sends it out through the blogoshere. His avid followers run with it without questioning his evidence. The result? A reckless blogger creates a piece of journalistic trash that defames an innocent person.
Agreed, the media, both lefties and righties too often create their own truths instead of reporting the truth. But beware, bloggers such as Breitbart are no better.
We must also take a long look at ourselves when it comes to deciphering the news. Journalists and bloggers are not the only problem here. Oftentimes we hear what we want to hear. If you are on the left you want to believe the left spin. If you are a righty you want to believe the right spin.
Too bad we don't demand to see the full video, or read the full text when a story breaks from a Journalist or a Blogger. Too bad we don't listen to both sides of an argument before geting all drummed up and hellfire.
Today is my 55th birthday. I'm getting old and through the years I've learned a lot. I've learned that we all have an agenda. You, I, Journalists, Bloggers, etc. I learn nothing by listening to, or believing any one person or any one movement. I get no closer to the truth shutting out all viewpoints but my own.
I learn by having an open mind. I learn by investigating issues from every angle. I learn by drawing reasoned conclusions based on full disclosure of the facts, not piecemeal sniipits. I learn by hesitating to form a snap opinion based on what I want to be the truth. I refuse to feast on the crap from bloggers like Breitbart, and some at FOXNews and CNN.
If more people would take such responsibility upon themselves we would all be a lot better off.
Find the journo list names and their respcetive papers, journal's and periodicles and bury them in email explaining how the public feels about their lies and collusions. Bury them in email. Do it now
When it takes the National Enquirer to break big news stories, you know somethings wrong. When so called News Agencies are using the National Enquirer as a source, I get the feeling they all work in the same building.
I've never seen people whine and stamp their feet so much every time something isnt done exactly the way they want it. My two year old behaves better than this. Any reasonable person can see that the "news" media is decidedly right wing, you all are just angry that its not completely overt.
In the old USSR it was understood completely that PRAVDA was a tool of the state and there was no pretext about a "free press". The farce here is that our leftist media sycophants like to pretend they are "watchdogs" for the people and still talk about being independent "journalists" with a straight face. There is NO WAY that Breitbart should apologize to this female racist. The ENTIRE media missed the boat on this one and what is worse the ENTIRE media is STILL missing the boat on this one. The STORY is /was about the fact that there are MANY MANY MANY racist in the NAACP- they had the entire film, and the racists in the white house, with the attorney General letting go the black pathers that ILLEGALLY where intimidating voters at the voting booth. I am tired of the boring lenghty consrvative proposals that no one understand or cares, and stop defending controversial subjects like abortion .
