Reward: $100,000 for Full ‘JournoList’ Archive; Source Fully Protected
by Andrew BreitbartI’ve had $100,000 burning in my pocket for the last three months and I’d really like to spend it on a worthy cause. So how about this: in the interests of journalistic transparency, and to offer the American public a unique insight in the workings of the Democrat-Media Complex, I’m offering $100,000 for the full “JournoList” archive, source fully protected. Now there’s an offer somebody can’t refuse.

Yes, the mainstream media that came together to play up the false allegations that the “N-Word” was hurled 15 times by Tea Party participants at the Congressional Black Caucus outside the Capitol the day before the “Obamacare” vote, is the same MSM that colluded to make sure the American public accepted the smear, and refused to show the exculpatory videos that disproved the incendiary charges of Tea Party racism.
Ezra Klein’s “JournoList 400” is the epitome of progressive and liberal collusion that conservatives, Tea Partiers, moderates and many independents have long suspected and feared exists at the heart of contemporary American political journalism. Now that collusion has been exposed when one of the weakest links in that cabal, Dave Weigel, was outed. Weigel was, in all likelihood, exposed because – to whoever the rat was who leaked his emails — he wasn’t liberal enough.
When the “N-word” controversy turned out to be an almost certain falsehood, Weigel had the professional courage to come out against 399 of his “JournoList” peers when he wrote:
I think we’ve seen a paradigm shift, and that the March 20 story will be remembered by conservatives as evidence of how the media accepts attacks on conservatives without due diligence.
Weigel also had the courage to issue a correction and a mea culpa when his reporting was used as a weapon by the unscrupulous Max Blumenthal to falsely smear James O’Keefe as a “racist organizer” of a white nationalist conference. Weigel eventually stepped up and set the record straight when he found out he was falsely named as a witness to the story.
Why was he chosen for outing among 400 “JournoList” participants? I can think of few liberal journalists who have been more fair than Weigel. And if I think that, imagine what true partisans on the left feel about his erratic and ideologically unpredictable output?
Weigel’s career at the Washington Post was assassinated for his crimes against conformity. Try as he might, as a left-leaning journalist he didn’t conform enough. When conservatives jumped on his exposure, he cited defending me as a mitigating alibi. Defending me publicly is a hangable offense in them thar liberal hills!
But Dave Weigel is not the story. The “JournoList” is the story: who was on it and which positions of journalistic power and authority do they hold? Now that the nature and the scope of the list has been exposed, I think the public has a right to know who shapes the big media narratives and how.

Dave Weigel is a portal into the dark world of hardcore liberal bias in the media. This opening gives us a deeper insight into the insidious relationship between liberal think tanks, academics and their mouthpieces in the media.
As we already uncovered in our expose on the “Cry Wolf” project, members of academia and think tanks are actively working to form the narrative used by the press to thwart conservative messages. Like a ventriloquist’s dummy, the reporters on the listserv mimicked the talking points invented and agreed upon by the intellectuals who were invited to the virtual cocktail party that was Klein’s “JournoList.”
And let us not forget the participation of Media Matters in the larger picture of intimidation and mockery for any reporter, like Weigel, who dares stray from the one acceptable liberal narrative in the media. Flying its false flag as a “media watchdog,” the $10 million-or-so per year agitprop command center creates and promotes a system of conformity in which it relentlessly attacks anyone who strays from the Soros-funded party orthodoxy.
The deluge of intimidation showered upon the occasional heretic by Media Matters represent another distinct layer in the media infrastructure that ensures true believer liberals are overrepresented and conservatives had better watch their step.
The fact that 400 journalists did not recognize how wrong their collusion, however informal, was shows an enormous ethical blind spot toward the pretense of impartiality. As journalists actively participated in an online brainstorming session on how best to spin stories in favor of one party against another, they continued to cash their paychecks from their employers under the impression that they would report, not spin the agreed-upon “news” on behalf of their “JournoList” peers.
The American people, at least half of whom are the objects of scorn of this group of 400, deserve to know who was colluding against them so that in the future they can better understand how the once-objective media has come to be so corrupted and despised.
We want the list of journalists that comprised the 400 members of the “JournoList” and we want the contents of the listserv. Why should Weigel be the only person exposed and humiliated?
I therefore offer the sum of $100,000 to the person who provides the full “JournoList” archive. We will protect that person’s privacy and identity forever. No one will ever know who became $100,000 richer – and did the right thing, morally and ethically — by shining the light of truth on this seamy underworld of the media.
$100,000 is not a lot to spend on the Holy Grail of media bias when there is a country to save.

Liberals aren't real strong on ethics, are they?
$100,000 well spent.
Bravo and thank you Mr. Breitbart. I hope someone takes you up on your offer.
It's very pleasing to see the walls crumbling down before them…Great work Andrew…I think, however, the 100K$ will not be enough and may need to be upped to around 1M$ before the rats finally jump ship.
If that isn't enough, I'm sure we can cobble up a funding drive to create the capital necessary. We need to out every one of these liars. Shame is an effect tool, but proof and shame, with a liberal dose of "we caught your asses" should work.
okay…show me my money…I was the one that used the N word….and it wasn't just demonCRAPS I hollered at…I called all scumsuckin' politicians the N word….
N word = nincompoops….where's my money???
Thank you Andrew.
Continue to do a great job. Keep them off balance.
Who knows just what you might uncover? For $100,000 even Mayor Bloomberg might step up and pull some strings. He's wanting to do just about anything these days for a buck.
I would chip in a hundred or so, I am sure the money can be raised, Mr Brietbart can keep the data and I will enjoy the revelations as they come out. Just ask if more is needed, shouldn't be hard to come up with many small donations.
Andrew, Andrew, Andrew……I wish I had thought of this. This idea is fantastic! I hope you succeed with the exposure.
If this pans out, we'll end up calling it "Journo-Gate." My only question is this; If this list exposes who the corrupt "journalists" are, who would be left to actually REPORT the story? (Besides BG, that is)
I wonder how long before the likes of Weigel or Maureen Dowd declare the Gadsden Flag to be "racist" or "anti-American" the writing is already on the wall and the thugs are ready to pounce… http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/28/connec...
This Journolist is just an excuse for these liberals to ignore ethicals standards in return for a uniform chorus that masks their transgressions. By sticking to the templates, to the talking points, and to the spin — they fail to give the independent analysis they purportedly offer.
Right, MSNBC? CBS? NBC? CNN? ABC? It's obvious that the members of the journolist are the reporters from these organs. Frank Rich, Paul Krugman, that Chris Matthews, all those frauds!! It just frosts me that these guys are using this tactic to defraud the public of the truth. Along with Media Matters, what we have here is a conspiracy! Sunshine is the best disinfectant. None of these guys deserve time on the public's airwaves. Thank you Andrew for all that you do, you are truly an American hero.
I'd chip in a hundred too. This media speaks with a forked tongue, it's time to put an end to the deception.
Thank you, Andrew! Although one would hope that ANY truly patriotic American would provide, without financial compensation, information on those that are working to destroy our constitutional democracy, this $100K offer could help. For the benefit of all of us that detest the manipulation of our society by the socialist media, I hope this works!
Psst.
You can't say the name Chris Matthews without genuflecting, dipping your hand in Holy Water and blessing yourself with the sign of the cross.
I hope someone collects the money. I hope it is the right incentive if doing the right thing is not. And I hope the money goes to someone who needs it in these times.
What's your point, John?
)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Seriously I expect that this may well have a positive effect on those journalists who are frankly feelin the old liberal ball and chain right about now. At least some of them really DO like their careers and are NOT WILLING to fall on their sword for even an ideology. This may bring about a change at the top…a toning down, or those who are outted and ousted may form, as the Tea Party movement, an independent group or go to work at more balanced magazines and newspapers or outlets….become their "token liberal, lol" the way women used to be TV news' "token females" though they were only allowed to do the weather or cooking segments for years.
Be interesting to see anyway. I don't see how things could get much worse on the MSM front.
Missed a long and highly informed post from you about the Gun law, the possible followup challenges, the UN arms ban treaty, or the suits against AZ.
What….you have a job, a real life? Whatzup with dat?
Put a piece of cheese in a trap and you'll catch a rat…put someone else’s cheese in a trap and you'll catch a liberal
How much money do we need to get the corruption out of the White House???
In the area of the political left, loyalty is financially flexible. Maybe 100, 000 can’t buy a senate seat, but it sure is a lot of lattes. And somebody must be sweating…
Brilliant! I love it. The Democratic Media complex coming undone by the very technology they thought would keep them in power forever—the blogosphere.
AB go get em, get that "hit list" and show the sheep who the scum really are! But we also need a "hit list" of all politicians who have voted for all the garbage bills b/c its just not the socialists its the repubs and cpl independents too. Something simple a 2nd grader can understand. We need our lists just as the MSM has its own and who can forget "dee 8ch ess" 's list if you embrace The Constitution, have RP bumper stickers etc! These lists we should create are tools for this fight "weapons" if you will to fight this corrupt machine. They have to be outed, some investigated and imprisoned if possible, its the only way the sheep will wake up b/c hearing it from 'us' isnt enough they need to see indisputable facts that their kings and queens are not working for them but against them.
Time for the gloves to come off and take this country back through http://www.savingtherepublic.com
Andrew, you are the only one exposing this crap. Keep it up, we've got your back….
They have to be going absolutely insane!
All you have to do is watch the alphabet soup news organizations.
What happens if their conversations don't bare out your hypotheses?
As my old southern grandmother used to say, "Well, I declare!" Imagine that, there's a group in the lame-stream media that's not impartial. You mean there is really a group that worked to get BO elected? Go Andrew!! Keep up the excellent work; we're with you! (I just remembered how strange it has been, to hear one "reporter" after another use the same word or phrase in a story in one day. It's all orchestrated, but we're not surprised, are we?)
It would be worth allot more to watch the media cock roaches scrambling for cover.
Careful. The FCC and the administration want absolute control over our medium to control thought. The thought police in spin city east are busy beavers in their attempt to control or destroy free speech. Even congress is in on the act by its willingness to give BO the big, "red" button to shut down the Net. Thought control on the Net is already in place in China, Russia, and the middle east.
I've been reading BG for months now as a guest and when I saw this post I signed up to comment.
I've seen where other people here have offered to donate to this cause as well. I am a programmer and have sent Breitbart an email offering to make a web program that will track these donations in real-time and can be posted here on biggovernment.com for everyone to see.
I think Andrew is onto something really big here and I'm happy to pitch in any way that I can.
Thanks for all you do Andrew!
HA HA HA … Hey Ezra didn't daddy soros teach you about plausible deniability?
No, then what about self incrimination?
Obama's Executive Orders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oitCXEWl1SI
I think Breitbart knows his customers pretty well. There is not much risk here.
Don't know if your a fan of Rush, but he has done montage's of these buzz-words and phrases for years.
It makes for quite good comedy. I hated this Weigel story, until AB stepped up and made clear the Journo-
List site was being used by the Left to co-ordinate their spin machine. Originally I presumed it was an 'in-
side baseball' site for personal gossip etc.
No way. Hackers all over the world will be trying to crack this nut. 100K is PLENTY of bait.
LOL – They did nothing wrong, which is why they are destroying the evidence as fast as they can

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/ezra-klein/2010/...
Well Ezra and the progressive clown crew should have no problem collecting the money if this was just all innocent professional cooperation.
These two clowns in the links above are playing the same tune (but no collusion of course!) and saying that there was nothing shady or wrong in what they did, but still people need to be protected so lets destroy the evidence.
Nothing wrong? Then what do they need protecting from? I hope Andrew can get on fox and start a fire under this, maybe Beck can get in a 100K as well, H a 100K, etc. etc. just keep notching it up, play the "We have nothing to hide" followed by the "That's why we are scrubbing the servers" side by side.
Wow, this could be major if a real archive could be uncovered, just imagine all the little cock roaches scurrying out of the light.
Hey Soro's, ever regret hiring these amateur morons? I mean I am sure you saved a few bucks and they are easy to control but you get what you pay for, kind of like your investment in Odummy, in the end it will be your undoing you fascist freak.
I agree with StS; that's something we HOPE we'd have to fret over!
[...] Breitbart is offering $100,000 for the full archive of the Journolist. [...]
I think that's something Andrew would want to know — I know I would. While it might "feel" like a waste of 100 Big Ones, I think we'd all ("all" being everyone with a normally-developed moral sensitivity) want to know if we were falsely accusing anyone of anything, so we could correct our own aim.
Fat chance of their conversations not bearing out AB's theory, though.

JournoList Revealed! Inside the Secret Liberal Media Email Cabal
Thursday, March 26, 2009
Kausfiles has obtained a copy of one JournoList discussion, focusing on New Republic editor-in-chief Martin Peretz (for whom I once worked.) This is not a parody! It's the real thing. I don't know whether or not it is representative. I've edited it only to remove potentially defamatory passages–those cuts are marked–and left out various boilerplate links and commands embedded in the thread, such as "Print" and "Report this message." … I won't add my own commentary, at least for now. Find your own lede! … Reminder to JournoList organizer E. Klein, who likes to take it private: All communications are on the record. …
Here's an excerpt of an email exchange that deals with "racism."
From: Jesse Singal <jesse.sin…@gmail.com> Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 14:41:15 -0400 Local: Tues, Mar 24 2009 2:41 pm Subject: Re: [JournoList] Re: BREAKING: Marty Peretz is a Crazy-Ass Racist Everyone I know who likes Olbermann also acknowledge that he is egomaniacal
and has a penchant for hysterical drama. The main difference, which is
glaringly left out by anyone who conflates him with the Savages and
O'Reillys of the world, is that Olbermann doesn't tend to, you know, lie
about stuff regularly.

Andrew, be ready to reel in the bait – something tells me you just caught a whopper worthy of taxidermy and exhibition.
Bang !! Bang !! Bringing it !!
Let's hope that someone who is one of the lowest paid members decides to jump for the money.
given the moral compass of the majority of the members of the "media elite" Breitbart's phone is ringing off the hook right now. Rats!
"As journalists actively participated in an online brainstorming session on how best to spin stories in favor of one party against another, they continued to cash their paychecks from their employers under the impression that they would report, not spin the agreed-upon “news” on behalf of their “JournoList” peers."
How many of their employers are on the list?
Keep up the good work Andrew because if nothing else future generations might learn what real journalism is.

Thanks w_a2, this will be juicy………weeeeeee!!!
As a former (now retired) scientist; one gathers evidence and only then draws a conclusion based on that evidence.
One usually starts with an hypothesis. Bad science uses and skews data to confirm a hypothesis. I see the search for the list as looking for the truth and to see where it leads….and we can handle the truth. Actually, we're starving for it.
Veritas
Tee-hee. I love stuff like this.
I agree, but how many of them will hear about this? I can't imagine there are too many of them here. I have been wracking my brain as to how to get the word out to the basement dwellers. Wired? Hackershomepage? I think these people have their own reporters, maybe leave them the link? Would not want to promote anything illegal, but a lot of hacking isn't…..swiss cheese programs are everywhere. What do you think??? I sure would like to help somehow.
Tenacity. Get 'em.
Genius General.
I would bet my bottom dollar Andrew's offer reaps results.
I would bet the dollar under that one that the effort to bury those results in the MSM will make their O'Keefe/Giles/ACORN coverage look positively saturated.
We'll probably need to wait until one of the members loses his/her job. Which, in the current environment, means we can probably start the countdown now.
And when it does break, the story of course will be the "crime" committed by the leaker – just like the global warming emails that blew up Gore's boondoggle.
All excellent points. I can see the Headlines now:
"Discredited Breitbart Smears Journalists with Illegally Obtained Emails."
The story will run for days about "how" the emails were obtained with barely a word about their contents. Of course the first half of every article will be about how the "convicted criminal" James O'Keefe videos were 'edited' and completely 'discredited.' (their words, not mine)
Yowza!!! Hooray!!! I love you, Breit.
ANDREW… Let's get a fundraiser going and see if we can get the reward up to $1,000,000. Maybe Rush can do a fundraiser as well, like with the Hairy Reid letter. This list has got to come out!
I hope that if somebody does come forward with this information that it's the real thing and not a lie just to collect the money and/or make Andrew out to be a fool. I don't know how he could verify the authenticity of the information (if someone takes him up on the offer), but I hope there is a way.
BTW, Andrew, great work as usual! Thank you for all of your work! You are an amazing patriot!
You need to be on Red Eye more often!
Doesn't lie "regularly" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I would LOVE to mine JournoList for commentary and planning regarding the AGW fraud. That there was collusion amongst liberal journalists to hide the growing problems with the notion of man-caused global warming seems reasonably likely. But seeing the groundwork laid down would be rewarding as hell.
And, as an added benefit, provide ammunition against the Democrats predatory energy taxes.
Good timing Andrew!!
Andrew — if you get to "spend" your 100K in this way, all of us — your supporters — should donate another 100K to you for the NEXT project. I don't want you to be the only one who has to "put his money where his mouth is." All of us who have the privilege of "mouthing" at Biggovernment should be willing to "put up" the cash to keep these types of revelations coming.
The story will be compiled, after exposure here at the Big sites, and sold as Journography. A sordid story of profiteering d-list writers who sold their souls to the progressives.
I hope you are right. My thoughts are that since AB had no takers on the previous 100K$ offer, the ante will need to be upped before one of them bails big time and rats out the whole lot…
CL: Bloomberg is undoubtably dirty too….it is a matter of time before stumpy gets his comeuppance. Todays politicians have no morals or shame.
Money and power = corruption
Conservatives need an all-out enemy infiltration strategy and take these Libbs out from the inside.
A really good idea. Hope someone steps up.
Andrew, I hope someone comes forward, but these cowards and weasels that are
doing all this sneaking and lieing will never come out!!…People like that are too
comfortable holding onto the power they have in making choices for us!!..They no doubt
are socialist like Obama, and are happy they had a part in his election……
This rivals Nixon's White House tapes. …… GET THE LIST!! ….you must get the list!
theres a whole lot of laid off journalist right now Im sure a few lesser knows were on the server as well and may have been saving postings
You rock and so does the internet.
That is a great idea, I hope Andrew puts a link up on this site where we can contribute. I'd throw in a hundred.
VERITAS!
Decent idea… I'm not wealthy by any means, but I'll bet that there would be a good amount of conservatives willing to front $50 toward the cause.
I try to avoid all matters "MSM" related. Not that I don't see and read some of their stuff, but the whole "msm sucks" thing has become a redundancy. If something comes out from a whistle-blower that exposes the rats in "journalism," then I'll pay attention to the evil creed.
As for all those other crazy things going on these days, there's only so much that can be said, and the People here seem to hit all the right things. So what's to add?
I'm focused totally on the elections. That's ALL the politicians are really thinking about. Election. And everything else, absolutely everything else is poll driven political theater. Each party has done their internal polling, and they've chosen their script on every vote and action based on what seems to poll the best from now until November. The big Party guys believe, "That's how you win elections." And that might be true. So if that's what they're thinking about, and that's how they want to play it, then what I'll focus on is the elections of Freshman Patriots, non-establishment candidates that will go into Congress and EXPOSE the political games they play. Any true American would be appalled if they understood the "politics" of governance. So if we can get just a few Tea Party candidate winners, they will be as appalled as the rest of us. All they have to do is announce it to the country. Tell us how this sausage was made. We'll take it from there. Then you'll see Tea Party rallies that will be too big, too loud to be ignored or ridiculed. The politicians will be scared. And then we win.
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
Thomas Jefferson
John,
Nice plan. Only hole is that realistically…we the people are not "spy vs spy" from mad magazine. We the people tend to pay attention to the highlights but as for putting in "freshmen" well here in AZ McCain of course has a HUGE war chest, the sketchy Hayworth is next in line with hundreds of thousands and the "we the people" indie freshman….less than $50K and running 8% against McCain and Hayworth's 40%'s .
Chance comma fat. Same for Grijalva's opponent….young, flat broke physicist with good ideas and the R endorsement but no money and really….probably no chance at all. Giffords may fall…her field of opponents though includes mainly state reps and office holders with background, a machine, and party money.
Sux but there it is at least here. And that from the Tea Party folks actually FOLLOWING things. Thousands more will just flip a coin between McCain and Hayworth. Still after all the crap that they have heard and seen. They just don't seem to be able to connect the dots…or to want to. Those who do still won't get Deakin. So we'll either be worse or worser off as a best case secnario. Hopefully other districts will do better.
One thing that worries me is not this election but next election and the gerrymandering after the census. That could be Obama's "ace in the hole" he DOESN'T want anyone thinking about hence all the strawmen like Cap and tax, VAT, and the ever popular amnesty. agggggg. We'll see. If they fail to renew unemployment benefits…..ALLLLL bets are off. Greece may look like a picnic. Lotta angry hungry folks.
To continue, this is what we have in government:
WASHINGTON (AP) — "The United States is accepting help from 12 countries and international organizations in dealing with the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The State Department said in a statement Tuesday that the U.S. is working out the particulars of the help that's been accepted.
The identities of all 12 countries and international organizations were not immediately announced. One country was cited in the State Department statement — Japan, which is providing two high-speed skimmers and fire containment boom.
More than 30 countries and international organizations have offered to help with the spill. The State Department hasn't indicated why some offers have been accepted and others have not."
Now we'll translate the politics.
"The United States is accepting help from 12 countries and international organizations in dealing with the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico."
…………………."It's been seventy days. Polling says it's time to accept the foreign help."
"The State Department said in a statement Tuesday that the U.S. is working out the particulars of the help that's been accepted."
………………….The State Department has no idea what countries are supposed to help. Nobody told them about the latest polling.
"The identities of all 12 countries and international organizations were not immediately announced. One country was cited in the State Department statement — Japan"
…………………"We have no idea which countries are polling best at the moment, but Japan is probably a pretty good bet, so we can tell you that."
"More than 30 countries and international organizations have offered to help with the spill. The State Department hasn't indicated why some offers have been accepted and others have not."
……………….."We may be announcing foreign assistance coming from countries like Iran and Venezuela as a gesture of meaningful cooperation and humility. We'll be watching the polls."
"If they fail to renew unemployment benefits…..ALLLLL bets are off."
The fight right now is how to pay for extended unemployment. The dems want to add to the deficit. Republican polling says "no more spending, no more debt." So the Republicans gave a plan to pay for unemployment with cuts elsewhere. Democrat polling says "emotions are high." So the democrats refuse to compromise and then blame any possible delay in benefits on Republicans.
That's politics.
I think we would consider it worth the price if some Progressive schlub decided he needed the cash.

Shouldn't you be saving that $100K to fight the mammoth civil suit ACORN is sure to file against you, O'Keefe, Giles and Fox News?
Andrew points out that Weigel may well have been exposed because he wasn't liberal enough. I hope that's a warning to all those liberals out there that, should they diverge from the groupthink, they will be no safer than Weigel was.
Weigel is not the story, but without the "Weigels" (the useful idiots on the list) they would wield much less power. Weigel and others like him have no real convictions. They are hollow vessels that carry the water when they are filled by others in control. The Weigel types make the list work! They must be aggressively condemned!!!
Hit up someone in their IT department. They could always use an extra $100k, and they probably have access to it. And can cover their tracks.
It would be journalistic suicide to step forward. They couldn't even get hired by Hallmark to write lines for "get well" cards. Hallmark is a BIG lib supporting company.
My thought is that the Left media will eat their own young, I think Andrew will have the list before the weekend. I am so looking forward to next week. Maybe we will have a new reason to celebrate the 4th of July. not to mention all the roasted weenies!
Ha ha. I know. That's why included that excerpt. They really do believe their own misinformation. It's hilarious.

Some would think you're saying how much it would take for you to jump ship?
Isn't there a lesson here about Climate-gate as well? The MSM said those emails were 'hacked' but nobody ever claimed responsibility for a hack or (the obviously collated) leak. No money in it for anyone apparent anywhere. HERE we have great incentive for a hacker to do what was claimed in Climategate and I'm betting they can't. It'll have to be a leaker on the inside that archived the list.
What happens if six or eight participants take up AB's offer unknown to each other?
It reminds me of the old saying:
The early bird might get the worm, but its the second rat that gets the cheese.
It would be great to have all those Rush 'media collusion mirror bites' put together with an introduction to context at the beginning of each one.
