No More Beer Summits: Tea Party ‘N-Word’ Incident Didn’t Happen, And the Congressional Black Caucus Owes America an Apology

On April 13, 2010 he told AP reporter Jesse Washington, “I think we need to move toward a dialogue that explores why this kind of divisive and reprehensible language is still making it into our political debate.”
The “divisive and reprehensible language” that Rep. Carson is referring to is his claim that while he left the Cannon office building on March 20 with Rep. John Lewis, they were verbally assaulted by health care protesters hurling the “N-word” at them. He said the scene was so hostile he “expected rocks to come” when he was coming out of Cannon.
I wanted to see the evidence. I wanted the truth. In the course of our search we have actually uncovered further video evidence that casts serious doubt on Rep.Carson’s claims:
Now this story is much more important than the accusation of fifteen racists among the thousands of protesters that day. This is now about the accusers.
It’s not just that Congressmen Carson’s accusation of an extraordinary racist verbal assault by the tea party participants on March 20 doesn’t appear to have occurred, it’s that the accusers have now gone into the bunker and, having raised the incendiary subject, are doing everything they can to avoid the discussion. Why? What’s changed?
When the accusation was made, the mainstream media made it the number one topic on every news show. The Democratic Party was leading the discussion. But when confronted on the baseless accusation, without even a modicum of evidence that it actually happened, other than an assertion, the Democratic Party, and its symbiotic allies the mainstream media, want to have another “beer summit.”
No. The Democratic Party and the political left cannot use the race card to shut up its opponents based upon pure fabrication any longer. This failed tactic ultimately serves to mitigate accusations of real racism — which we are not saying doesn’t exist.
When I offered a reward of $100,000 to be donated to the United Negro College Fund if anyone produced video and audio evidence that this occurred, I was accused of a publicity stunt (because everyone knows that the best way to get publicity in America is to accuse a civil rights icon of lying about racism). Rep. Carson himself suggested that my challenge was “a veiled attempt to justify actions that are simply unjustifiable.” Get it? He calls protesters racist and if you ask him to prove it, you’re a racist, too.
Needless to say, no one has claimed the $100,000.
But, I have taken my search one step further. I’ve asked some of the contributors to Big Government to also actively search for video. We have spent the last three weeks searching for any evidence that might support the allegations, without any help from the accusers. The primary accuser, Congressman Carson, who audaciously claimed the crowd screamed the “N-word fifteen times,” would not return our call. So we have gone part way to try and piece together the events of March 20.
Not only is the audio devoid of any racial slur, but the scene at Cannon clearly shows the congressmen coming down the steps completely unobstructed, and with a clear path to the Capitol. And, when we juxtapose the audio accusation Rep.Carson made moments after the alleged event occurred with actual video footage of the moment Rep. Carson claims he first heard the racial slur, it is as plain as day that Congressman Carson was not isolated by a mob and facing a racist throng that could conceivably hurl rocks at him. As you can see for yourself.
How many more “Duke Lacrosse” faked events should America endure? The list from Madonna Constantine at Columbia University all the way back to Al Sharpton’s unforgivably grotesque Tawana Brawley case, the media plays its role to divide this country on its most sensitive schism: race.
The grassroots and the million-strong Tea Party have been forced to be held accountable against every discussion of vile racism even though they have been proven to do nothing wrong.
The false accusation of racism grants left-wing hooligans carte-blanche to act out on their dehumanized Tea Party counterparts. That’s what the intention was with the false accusation. That was the game plan. It ties together with the similar strategy as employed by Pres. Clinton and Richard Trumka to compare tea partiers and the environment they are creating to a petri dish of hate that will spawn the next Timothy McVeigh or Lee Harvey Oswald.
The left is playing with fire. They are playing fast and loose with the facts and making things up when there are no facts at all. Just because the media (the left’s main enabler), wants to forget about it and move on doesn’t mean we will. We will remain on this case until it reaches closure.
As long as this false narrative lives to fuel the hatred of the activist left, which has on many occasions been acted out against Tea Party activists and other law abiding protesters, we will keep this story at the editorial forefront.
It is a slander with real-world repercussions.
The absence of a real investigation by a press that played up the accusations is a more-than-tacit admission that they were hoping the allegations were true. When I mentioned the lack of response to the $100k offer to Politico’s Ben Smith, he messaged me on Twitter: ‘I think you’ve pretty much won this one, no?’
But how does that “win” manifest itself? On April 15, the day of the Tax Day Tea Party in front of the White House, and being interviewed by ABC’s Terry Moran for Nightline set to air Tuesday night, I passionately defended the movement against the powerful racism charge that has been greatly pushed by the Congressional Black Caucus’s accusation of a 1960 Selma-like incident near the Capitol.
At least twice during the spirited questioning by Moran, bystanders screamed “racist” at me.
The power of the propaganda. The power of the repeated accusations. The power of the relentless race-based line of questioning. They are all adding up to the liars and slanderers getting exactly what they wanted. The Tea Party is marred by racism charges while Congressman Carson, at the least, should be facing an ethics investigation, and a civil rights legend should be asking for forgiveness for allowing for the hateful lie to stand.
The “win” Ben Smith speaks of comes in the form of silence. Our nation is split down the middle and the press has chosen to play for one side and one side only.
Congressman Carson refuses to respond to our requests because he can’t answer questions that deserve answers. The press is drawing a line in the sand for those that are doing the job the press should be doing: “Are you calling a civil rights legend a liar?”
Unfortunately, I am. And the mainstream media are as complicit in this lie as Congressman Lewis.

I'm sure I can speak for many when I say I appreciate your dedication to your work very much. But an apology? I seriously doubt it.
I'm more inclined to think they will double down on stupid, and the Lapdog media will be right there to cover for them.

They are not used to being questioned and they certainly aren't used to having to defend their accusations and lies with facts and when faced with hard hitting questions we get to see who they really are and the racial/class warfare games that they play!
And they STILL wonder why their numbers are going down. Just reported today that the newspapers lost even MORE this last accounting period. Word to you MSM's: you might think it's "nice" when the side you support is winning, but when they are caught in lies and cheat and failing, it's not so "nice" anymore, is it? firearms and ammunition this country has seen. Law abiding citizens have
rallied and have provided a "stimulus" to the sporting goods field while

life. Not of the economy but of the direction our country was going. I
thought Americans had forgotten what this country was all about. My
neighbors, friends, strangers proved to me that my lack of confidence of the

Well stated; I will look long and hard at any subsequent charges of racism, and will certainly consider the source. They've done this to themselves.
What a lot of the left always seem to forget about that part of our History is that – HE WAS CORRECT. When the KGB files were finally released after the fall, most all of those he had names for WERE in contact with the KGB.
The left will not stop. They have drawn the line. Their attack is focused on only a few items. None of which have anything to do with agenda or political policy. The Democrats platform is obvious, If your not a Democrat you must be a racist. If your not a democrat you must have a bias against women. If your not a Democrat you must pose a threat to America. They will continually push forth these unbacked claims because they know it will incite those of the minorities be they racial, gender or social minorities.
Americans have always fought for the underdog, We are a compassionate people so the democrats are trying to twist that compassion into their "party line". They do not care if it's forced redistrubution of wealth as long as it's in the name of the "greater good". because they use terms like the greater good and "help those who can not help themselves" they will demonize anyone who does not agree with them as heartless, cruel, racist, biased, or violent.
Not to be inflammatory, but I still say even if there were a few random wackos hurling epithets out of thousands gathered, it would amount to no more than that – a few wackos hurling epithets. It wouldn't be evidence of a grand master plan for white supremacy, or even of an institutional bias. And it definitely wouldn't represent the movement as a whole, though the media would love nothing more that for that to be the case even if they had to aid that perception (which they did, despite no credible basis to the charge).
The major concern is that the tea party not operate on defense all the time out of fear of unrepresentative claims being used to paint the whole movement as some ersatz KKK club. When you go on the defense all the time, you end up looking, well, defensive!
The MSM will always highlight the fringe as the norm where conservatives are concerned. But if the tea partiers take the initiative in telling their story for the compelling and American narrative it is, then they'll be successful in sweeping the MSM's dirty rug right out from under them.
And actually, the tea partiers did exactly this by loudly calling out the infiltrators on their April 15th protests. But even if there were some tea party sympathizers who really were racists in the honest sense of the word, I'd think the overwhelming majority of members would call them out too. There'd be no point in risking the reputation of the movement to protect a few ideological jackasses spouting ridiculous notions.
As a coda: I believe and agree fully with Andrew – the trumped up accusations from the gathering in front of the Capitol were and are a gross AND orchestrated attempt to manipulate racial sensitivities to the fullest. Who really are the racists here?

Folks, what you see here is a real world rendition of the philosophical determinants of epistemically motivating situations. For example, a game show which offers a contestant a prize for correctly answering a true or false question. The prize is the motivation to CORRECTLY answer the question.
Non-epistemically motivating situations would be those in which the contestant is given a prize for answering 'true' (or 'false', depending) no matter whether the statement is actually true or false.
Here, we see the left use 'racism' as the 'answer' for almost any and all questions. While the 'cash prize' is reserved for those pulling the strings; the front line pawns who answer 'true' to racism accept pyschological comfort and positive self image in lieu of the cash prize, for affirmation of the statement regardless of truth or falsehood.
It works on the same cognitive response as peer pressure: pressure to conform, to get along with others or to please one's superiors.
The leaders of the left are quite clever in their ability to tap into human biases of logic. To that point:
The next thing we need to understand is cognitive dissonance.
This phenomenon allows people to reform their opinions, behavior and even their MEMORIES (key word here, please take note) to defend their self image.
Understanding this tells us that if we look for matters on which people are non-epistemically motivated (see previous post) we should look at issues that involve them PERSONALLY, especially ones in which their personal WORTH is in question.
Human nature allows for us to easily reason epistemically about tangibles, such as the height of a building or the weight of a deer. Conversely, human nature makes it difficult to take that same attitude to questions like whether we are living up to our true potential.
As you can see. Liberals are able to capitalize on some inherent humanistic cognitive traps which capture certain folks in what are referred to as 'logic' tunnels (or tunnels of the mind).
Wouldn't it be easy to some people that the reason they are not living up to their potential is because of something they can't control (ie, racism)?
And, wouldn't it be easier still, once you have them convinced of that, to hold out the 'prize' (whatever it may be) to get them to answer 'true'; regardless of whether the correct answer is true or false?
The grassroots' is where we come from in the very beginning of this great republic. I say let's show the left what a astro turf feels like.

Here on earth, we understand all that as:
1. People resort to race baiting when they lack a reasonable argument.
2. Some people fall for this bullshit, and adjust their behavior or speech in order to not seem like such a terrible person.
3. Such people are about as useful as tits on a bug, and might as well be democrats.
Two points. First, they have identified themselves to be the vermin that they are. They can't hide in plain sight anymore. Thank God for sites like this that have shown them for what they really are. Second, and the most difficult, will be for us to never be lazy or let the lights go out ever again. We have come so close recently to losing everything that this great country has to offer. We don't have the luxury to be complacent any more.

This is more the reasons to turn off your TV's and find an alternative source for news and entertainment. Put the hurt on the corrupt media establishment until they change their ways. The only way this can be done is a nationwide effort by everyone involved with the Tea Party – plus everyone else who stands for "equal justice" and conservatism.
Somehow we need to bring more attention to this idea and perhaps pick a day certain to stage a nationwide boycott of the TV. Just leave it turned off. Perhaps do this for a week. Trust me, the loss of ad revenue will send a strong message as it's all about the peso (oops, I mean dollar).
The media executives will have a major Dilema veche.

I'm with Andrew on this subject. If we fail to require complete and transparent disclosure of information which either proves or disproves the claims of racism, then the infection continues to grow. Since claims of racism are frequently used when no legitimate accusation of injustice exists, innocent people are too often subjected to false claims of immoral and indefensible acts. If Americans expect to all be treated with the respect and fairness they deserve, we must expose the entire truth and allow the chips to fall as they may. In a society where there is almost literally a camera in every pocket, this should be relatively easy.
There was a series of photos from a video where Gateway Pundit isolated and showed with red circles each of the camera phones being used during "the march" through the crowd. For instance, Jesse Jr. held one in each hand as he walked. All those photographers who can be identified should be able to produce their evidence as to how the claims could be either justified or debunked.
The age of new media is great, huh? Nothing replaces the truth in accurate reporting. Quite a refreshing change, if you ask me. Thanks to all who bring us the actual truth.
I wonder about Rep. Carson's comment that he “expected rocks to come.” If he's anything like me, he wouldn't have gone outside if he REALLY expected to be hit by rocks.
