If by "tamper," you mean prove that he had shut them off and pretended they were jammed so as to avoid constituents, I imagine it would be applause. But that would never happen because ACORN is all about perpetuating fraud in government, not exposing it.

It is a little bit suspicious that James O'Keefe would think he could walk into the office unrecognized. He's one step ahead of the media. With the suit over his "illegal recordings" of ACORN, he had to know they would jump to the conclusion that he was bugging the phones. However, if he didn't actually tamper with the phones, there wasn't a crime committed, he walks, and the MSM looks like fools. Typical O'Keefe.

I just heard that they had no phone bugging equipment and there are no wiretapping charges. What the person thought was happening was that they were trying to expose the fact that the senator's phone is routed elsewhere and they are not answering the phones at the senator's office.
