The American Promise-Our First Principles
by Adam AndrzejewskiIn 1831, a French aristocrat, Alexis de Tocqueville’s recognized how different America’s infant democracy was from other democratic republics. He issued warnings to our young republic, “One also finds in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to want to bring the strong down to their level, and which reduces men to preferring equality in servitude to inequality in freedom”. De Tocqueville continued, “…when citizens are all almost equal, it becomes difficult for them to defend their independence against the aggressions of power”.

The agenda driven by President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Leader Reid is aggressively targeted toward our becoming an all powerful central government. Since the 2008 election we have seen unprecedented expansion of government. History has shown us that as government expands individual liberty contracts.
In January of 2010, during the waning days of my primary campaign for Illinois Governor, former Polish President Lech Walesa came to Chicago to endorsed my effort. Known as the great anti-communist, founder of Solidarity, best-friend of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II, Walesa continues to inspire and encourage strong leadership. During the luncheon, Walesa issued an ominous warning for America, “America is sliding toward socialism; America is no longer the shining city on the hill.” In the videotaped interview, Walesa saw a hint of socialism creeping into America’s domestic policies. He spoke of “the issue with the banks” and how “the government wastes all the money … building a bureaucracy — just for itself.”
Walesa said that the strongest candidates are committed to principles. The framers of our Constitution based out government on strong principles, sometimes referred to as the first principles. The “first principles” that will Ensure Liberty and the American Promise for future generations are:
- Smaller Government,
- Fiscal Responsibility,
- Lower Taxes,
- National Security,
- Federalism.

With these principles to guide us, we have created Ensuring Liberty, an organization of activists and citizens dedicated to strengthening the public’s appreciation of these ideas. Ensuring Liberty is working closely with a group of leaders currently serving in Congress to hear our voice and keep our First Principles. This group is chaired by Congressman Steve King.
In two weeks, congressional elections in Pennsylvania and Hawaii are drawing clearly delineated choices on “first principles”. Immediately, we have the opportunity to add two more “first principle” conservatives to the Congress. Electing these two candidates will eliminate two “sure votes” for the Obama/Pelosi machine. On a targeted and systemic basis, the unraveling of the National Democrat machine and it’s liberal agenda must continue- it’s our obligation.
President Obama and his Chicago operatives understand only one thing: raw power. Raw power is conferred at the ballot box. In Pennsylvania, Tim Burns is poised to take back Jack Murtha’s seat, and in Hawaii Charles Djou can win back the congressional seat of Barack Obama’s boyhood home.
Tim Burns can win the 12th congressional district in Pennsylvania. His life experiences growing up within the district as well as being a father, entrepreneur, successful businessman and community leader, make him uniquely qualified to serve as our next Congressman. Tim’s business grew to over 400 employees before he sold it in 2003. His commitment to conservative values, smaller government, lower taxes, ending wasteful spending and restoring an ethical standard in public service are political philosophies that stand in stark contrast to the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda.
Charles Djou was an elected state representative where he was the Minority Floor Leader. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, graduating magna cum laude with distinction. He is also an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve; practices as an attorney specializing in business law; and, teaches at the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law. To quote Mr. Djou, “I will never forget that every dollar the government spends comes from a family like yours.”
The American Promise and our nation’s liberty is dependent on electing “first principles” candidates. Electing these two candidates will eliminate two “sure votes” for the Obama/Pelosi machine. On a targeted and systemic basis, the unraveling of the National Democrat machine and it’s liberal agenda must continue- it’s our obligation.

I don't know, but I feel a little put off every time I see a pac advertising on this website. I mean, it's great cause and all, but I would rather read some political commentary or an exclusive story.

At least Brietbart is open about what he believes. Liberal media is like a long running commercial for socialism and socialist politicians.
But yes, this cannot be considered "news". However, it is a blog, it is Brietbart's blog, and he is free to say what he wants.
“I will never forget that every dollar the government spends comes from a family like yours.”
Could that profound statement be any more relevant in today's world? Fits our gubment to a tee. The democrats are the party of 'FreeBaggers" that continually strive to pull the succesful down to thier level.
Don't believe for a moment they will go quietly. They will not. They must be removed from office. It will not be a fight for the faint of heart. It will require patriots who have the stomach and the skill for what will no doubt be a very ugly brawl. We cannot leave it up to the RNC and the RNCC to get this done. They are part of the reason we find ourselves in this mess. If you don't like the guy with a Polish last name's group, find one you do. It's necessary to win.
Looks like the short list for the SOTUS job may be U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan. Start collecting the videos and news articles about her before they suddenly disappear !!!!!

Wasn't Lech Walesa a Union official? I thought this site wasn't particular fond of union leaders.
And then a product of affirmative action and Muslim came along and F-ed up everything.
1.Smaller Government,
2.Fiscal Responsibility,
3.Lower Taxes,
4.National Security,
5.Federalism.
Simple and to the point: Smaller governments are more fiscally responsible which leads to lower taxes.
The FIRST job of our Federal Government is NATIONAL DEFENSE,,,,so build the F#CKING FENCE
They will all be squeezed out very soon.

"I would rather read some political commentary or an exclusive story"
Fortunately for all of us, those things are part of the daily offerings here. Many of us also enjoy reading articles like this, so I'm glad they're included.
As for your own preferences, I'll give you the same advice that we in Florida give about the weather:
If you don't like the current story, just wait ten minutes.
I want to see these types of political spots, I would like to see them on TV were all Americans can see them, that is when I will really believe they mean what they say. Target America not just Brietbart visitors.
Nothing wrong with Unions or union leaders, as long as they are not collective bargaining with government.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the progressives are the 'deal closers' expected to finish the 100 year plan. America is in the cross-hairs. If having a PAC promoting the return to a Republic appears here will hasten the end of the socialist's agenda; so be it. We are going to need all the help we can get to fight off a well financed, entitlement supported, media endorsed subversive syndicate.
Good point. Pandering to the partisans doesn't prove much to me. Tell everyone what you believe and make sure it all matches.
allow me to muddy the waters some more….all good subjects but in the wrong order…
1. National Security
2. Lower Taxes
3. Fiscal Responsibility
4. Smaller gubmint
5. Federalism
you can diddle around with 3 and 4 if you please…after these things have been worked out…get gubmint out of everything that isn't allowed in the original document…and then work on the amendments…in my unbaised opinion instant citizenship should be reworked ie 14th…..parents/parent legally authorized into U.S……
Praying will help, but you need to help enlist the skills of those who will remove these thugs from office.
I will help, I'm just a state over and SD is suffering really bad but everyone here goes around with a blind fold on and this ridiculous smile on their face that says "I can't see what's happening, so it's not happening" it's almost like a sing song smile of denial.

Right on. Right on.
Voice of Stupidity,
Lech Walesa is a hero because he helped to overthrow a communist regime. He was part of a union when the government had outlawed them, because they wanted complete control of the people.
We now have a nation that has unions colluding with the government to create the same situation here that existed in Poland pre-1990.
At least Brietbart is open about what he believes. Liberal media is like a long running commercial for socialism and socialist politicians.

Not a Democracy, but a Republic.

When is BG going to do an update on what Julius Genachowski is doing in trying to deem the Internet a utility like the telephone companies even after 41,000 comments? Mr. Breitbart call your office!!!
I will boycott those that boycott. RISE UP America and give them a taste of what its like .
Big difference between the two. One fights for freedom and the OTHER fights to steal.
"I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there. In the fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there. In her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits, aflame with righteousness, did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." – Alexis de Tocqueville
I pray you're right, but I can't help feeling some kind of fix is in. This is much bigger than a bunch of thugs from Chicago. It has international proportions.
Praying will help, period.
If we keep praying, God will take care of the logistics and ensure that we 'enlist the skills of those who will remove these thugs from office.' I often wonder if these thugs aren't in office because some time ago we stopped asking God for help and stopped thanking Him for the help he always gave us.
"Wasn't Lech Walesa a Union official? I thought this site wasn't particular fond of union leaders."
I might need to start a weekly contest for "Most Pathetic Troll Comment" at this rate.

In my opinion, a list of principles to ensure American liberty is a little too weak to do the job if it does not also explicitly list adherence to the rule of law, i.e., the Constitution. Americans may still have to argue for the advantages of America's founding principles throughout its history, but that job is easier if there continues to be respect for the contract that guarantees them.
“One also finds in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to want to bring the strong down to their level…"
Hence, the election of Barack Obama, Leader of the Weak, in the Land of the Brave.

To the left, our Founding Fathers are just a bunch of right-wing radicals. Or dare I say, "bitter clingers."
And not just a Republic, Mr. Lincoln, but a Constitutional Republic.
You are exactly correct. My apologies.
No apology necessary, friend.
There is a theme that seems to be a consistent thread through the founding father's documents. That is the concept that mankind has the right to to possess and use private property. That this thing called private property should be guaranteed by the government from the government allowing/facilitiating individuals or groups from taking that private property, through force or through other means.
Where does the concept of Private Property rights intersect with the concept of Liberty? What is the basic premise for the creation of private property? The answer can be more basic than we understand, private property can just exist, such as the land an individual might buy, or it can be something that an individual might build, such as barn that sits on that land, or it can be something that one can buy that is made form another's hands, such as the tractor that might be used to till that land.
In every case, the following is true for the development of property rights: property rights are not in themselves a stale old concept, property rights is a dynamic understanding on how the world works within the context of human existance and interaction. The combination of private property rights plus the notion that every human is in control of their own human energy is in-of itself the premise that wealth can be created from nothing but the human mind or from some form of natural resources all described as Private Property.
This is not a new notion, but a forgotton one indeed. The general equation is something like this:
Man's Material Progress = Natural Resources + (Human Energy * Tools) (American Economic Foundation, Mainspring of Human Progress, by Henry Grady Weaver)
This notion is critical to understand, for Man's Material Progress can only be manifested in the ownership of Private Property. Where that property is the actual physical manifestation of a physical object, or the increased awareness or ability that an individual might possess. With the true result being the creation of something that has more value in an open market place, or a.k.a. the general creation of wealth within the context of time. This is the engine of progress in it's rawest form, the function of Human Energy and Natural Resources ( f[HE, NR] ).
Have you seen this before? Most likely not, for if you saw this and understood its impact you might not see the world with eyes focused on the philosophy of a static world as defined by Plato. In deed, the philosophy that makes this understanding of a dynamic engine run is that of Socrates and Aristotle, which is that only each man or woman knows their own challenges they face and to interfere in the individual's quest only stifles their efforts and desires, even if it is with the best of intentions.
But for a moment, if we are to take the static point of view, also known as a Platonic position, that we can know the unknowable and that a learned human would be able to obtain enough knowledge to best direct the efforts of others, the following must be the assumptions that we should possess to begin this process of managing Man's Material Progress. The notion that this equation must be controlled to distribute fairness or to enforce a concept of "Social Justice" requires that we make some assumptions about our environment or the context inwhich we humans operate:
1) Man's Material Progress cannot degrade (Or if it does it does so as a benefit of controlling the progress)
2) Natural Resources need to be controlled to distribute fairly for a fair outcome
3) The tools need to be controlled to guarentee the outcome such that no one indivudual as an advantage
4) Human Energy is Constant and does not degrade based on incentives/disinsentives or cause and effect
As one can see these assumptions, once tested against the real world cannot hold up against time. Why? The world changes and the circumstances change. This where the statism people fail, their model of politics assumes a static environment. This assumption is impossible, which is why these regimes usually resort to violence, because violence in the end is the equalizing force to keep people from changing and growing over time.
Let's contrast for a moment our static Platonic assumptions for our equation against the dynamic philosophies of Socrates and Aristotle:
1) Man's Material Progress can grow or be destroyed, with war the destruction can be complete, with Liberty and Freedom they have no bounds
2) Natural Resources do not need to be controlled since it is in the best interest of the individual to control their environment without government intervention
3) The tools do not need to be controlled as this will be an incentive for individuals to create more tools
4) Human Energy is Dynamic and can change from day to day and week to week, positive rewards through aquisition of privat property always maximizes the natural capacity of the Human Engergy
Again, these two philosophies are strikingly different. One as you can see will and must lead to violence in what ever form you wish to manifest the violence of control to achieve and ideal.
The second of course leads to creative implementations of private property such that growing wealth, thus growing opportunities, is a natural form of expression for people to grow.
How do you view the natrual expression of human energy?
When is it appropriate to tax that energy?
Is there a point inwhich that energy has earned enough?
What does central planning do to human natural energy? Why?
What guides human energy? Is there ethics in human energy? How is that controlled? Who controls it?
In what manner does Human Energy interact with the Free Market? Why is that important?
Is all human energy equal? Why would it be important that it NOT be equal? What is there to gain to see it become equal?
You see, these are all questions that have not been asked for maybe 50 to 75 years?
Finally, it becomes clear, with an effetive definition of Liberty, these questions of Human Energy, and the understanding of Human Character within the idea that God as a concept exists, the concepts of Socialim's effects and goals can be inoculated within a human mind and the human soul.
This is a possible answer, a hypothesis at this moment in time.
This is the quest that the fouding father's pursued.
This is the philosophy that can change and will change the effective processing of our world.
For without THIS philosophy, the statist/soclailist/platonic will win.
In their winning they will profit, and rightly so, since they have taken the profit of those whom would be corporate minded and of the same cloth in justifying the governments involvement on their company's behalf.
This is why Socretes drank the Hemlock, it was ultimately his choice. It was ultimately his final act of his own Freedom. For him NOT to drink it would require that he be servant to those whom prosecuted him, and logical proof that mankind is capable of choice and freewill, even if that ends in choosing a non-violent death. All other religious leaders of him importance suffered and in some cased perished as their final act of freewill and human choice as to how they would express their own human energy.
This my friends is the secrete that can set you free…

Your last sentence appears to define the Democrat Party. I might like to use it.
DEMOCRAT PARTY: A well financed, entitlement supported, media endorsed, subversive syndicate.
Great Article! Please!—-more like this! Educate the people! It's time for the truth. It makes me sick what our kids are getting taught in history class! I have been reading and studying up on the Founding Fathers in their own words. It is NOTHING like what I learned in school! How much worse is it for MY kids! ? Maybe we can get that Mexican flag replaced by the American flag again in this great country! and restore the Godly principles that made this country great. It starts with educating ourselves

The CONSTITUTION, What our forefathers designed for America and to protect us from the 'CHANGE' attempts we see taking place now and what Ensuring Liberty is going to do to play a great effort in helping the Country be the Liberty we have far too long taken for granted:yet not stood up for and fought for! Time to do so!
Speak up for the American Flag + those who believe in the liberty and education of it all : it is about time!!!
I agree 100% that the Dems are free baggers. They detest capitalism. Obama is all about wealth re-distribution. People are not ENTITLED to what I have EARNED. What part of that don't they understand? I live in Honolulu and have voted for the Republican, Djou. So have some of my family members. At the national level, the Democrats have left many Americans furious at their behavior. Fortunately, at the local Hawaii level, the local Democrats have left many Hawaii voters furious. The Hawaii legislative session just ended, and the local Democrats have shown they are no better than the socialist Democrats in DC. They overode the Governor's veto of a new tax on every barrel of oil here, among many other missteps that keep infurirating Hawaii residents. Many people here are fed up with the Democrats and will be voting for Djou.
