I was just about to post regarding the railroad tie beating in Chicago. This recorded beating went viral on the internet for the entire world to see. 2 weeks later Chicago was the first loser in the Olympic bid. A female friend wanted to join the military at the same time I was going in. She didn't make the cut. I know of people who were in the military who wanted to make a career out of it who were kicked out. If you've never been through basic training, I dare you to try and stick with it for 13 weeks.

I'm against softening of military discipline and principles to let less qualified people into the military. When I was in there, most people I met were up to the task of being soldiers. This has been about 18 years now, so who knows what things are like now.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is charged with an open count of murder for allegedly killing a woman with a rock.

A witness told New Mexico State Police that he was driving with Steve Roybal, 49, and the unnamed victim in the Camp Luna area of San Miguel County on Saturday.

He said Roybal and the woman got in a fight. They stopped then Roybal hit her on the head and dumped her body in the woods.

Roybal is jailed in Las Vegas, N.M.

I find it interesting that people want to do away with guns for people with permits when ever something tragic happens. The reason it is interesting is it never is the permit holders that do the shooting. Well never maybe could be wrong. I have never heard of it being permit holders. In the case of Columbine the laws didn't stop them from getting guns illegally and perhaps if a gun permit holding person was there the carnage would have ended quicker. In this case, how in the world do you not allow military to have guns?

There are already are regulations. It requires a permit (a license to purchase), usually issued from the Sheriffs department, just to buy a hand gun. There already is a 3 day waiting period for hand guns (thank you Bill Clinton and the Brady Bill). There already is a NICS criminal background check when you fill out the forums to purchase any gun, hand gun or long gun.
