It would be nice if Republicans — claiming to be the party of small government — would start demanding small government policies instead of signing onto the biggest tax increase in the history of the world.
They used to claim the GOP was the “big tent” party. But for now it seems they are still too close to the “big government” party.

Since most people have taxes taken out, long before they even see a salary check, what you're proposing is just dumb; not to mention irrational and undoable.
The problem the Republican party has is that the RINO's took over. By constantly pushing more and more RINO's down the voter's throats, the party has become little different than the Democrat party. Although we lost the NY-23, we did show that we aren't going to take the RINO offering from Republican leaders anymore.

Americans must take charge of their government by force of the vote and reestablish conservative policy before it;s too late. Find qualified political candidates, elect them and hold them to the promises they make. It's the tool our Founders designed for us to use for the preservation of our freedom. I can see no constitutional grounds for defunding, they use the argument of targeting, but that's for taxation not hand outs which is ironic in so many ways considering the fact that they do just that based on success.

Sure there are under the counter payments made, many small businesses who deal in cash, hide their full earnings, but that's not the same things as a full blown "TAX REVOLT".

This is why we must stop electing bored power hungry millionaires, lawyers and career politicians to office. This is why the language used by our forefathers resonates so well with the people. They didn't speak legalese as a means to baffle and confound the public. This is why the bills continue to get larger and larger. They use words to camouflage their true purpose. The more camouflage needed the more words/pages needed. We need to get back to our roots. We need to do some serious spring cleaning in our government. This means that the real patriots need to come forward and challenge those hypocrites in office so they can't be permitted to chose their replacements/pawns like Gorbachev.
Well said but not easily undone or remedied. The thoroughly corrupted structure has been for gestating for decades. The real crooks are the silent Congressmen who, over the years, backslapped one another as they passed what appeared to be innocuous legislation against the citizenry. And then it became law. This is a "gear- thunking" machine that has gone from noisy irritation to German precision in its corruption.
The ONLY way to stop it in its tracks is to vote out ALL of the House members. And I mean all! The Senate has to be denigrated in thirds for a total of twelve years to move them to the curb. Does America have enough love left in its heart to accomplish this cleansing. Enough guts to stand up and defeat the Supreme Court ? I frankly do not think so….too many cowards.
