Unsolved Mysteries and Irreconcilable Differences for Mr. Scott Harshbarger
by James O'Keefe(1) Why did the Philadelphia office apparently waste taxpayer money and scarce police resources calling the police about a “verbal disturbance” by two people they were happy to help?
(2) Why would ACORN file a police report after warmly helping us with our purported “prostitution business”?
(3) Why would ACORN make a police complaint about a “verbal disturbance” when there was no disturbance?
(4) Why did ACORN apparently call the police as many as 45 minutes after we left?
(5) Why does ACORN apparently think that making and publishing an after-the-fact police complaint would cover up its willingness to help our “prostitution business” and its lies about what happened when we visited?

Shouldn't the city prosecutor be filing charges for wasting tax payer resources? For "Filing a false police report"? Or for "Lying to investigators investigating a crime"?
Very good job. Hopefully this will bring criminal charges against whoever this Keith Crabby(sp?) the complaintant for filing a false police report. Keep it up..good job.
Could someone please tell me if James gives his real name (or any name) to the employees at Philly? They put his name on the complaint. Also, who is Keith Crosby? I thought Katherine was the one who made the complaint. Was Keith somewhere in the office at the time? This "police report" brings up far more questions than it answers.
And if they used 911 to summon police, isn't there another charge that SHOULD be levied?
James, you really are a pimp, aren't you?!!
The police complaint has all of the gravitas of a parking ticket. ACORN must have suspected something was up and in an afterthought decided in their beetle browed brains to get a police complaint on record. Lefties in problem solving exercises aren't that bright.
Count on the NYT's "secret editor" viewing this damning ACORN video with a swoon then quickly regaining his/her composure will ignore or nuance the criminality of ACORN away. The idiots never figured out that if they were a model of integrity we'd be donating a way out of their financial misery.
From what I understand James gives his real name for the appointments along with a cellphone. I assume a throw away. But with a 201 area code..which is basically Bergen County. Where James lives(a couple towns away from me).
Holy Crap! if they didn't Have Jame O'Keife's name until weeks later, there might be a police officer complicit in filing a false police report too!
Notice how the top of this form has been clipped off. These forms are all numbered within the book they come from. Someone needs to get the form issued before this one, the one behind it, and do a little date comparing. I bet this will show a descrepency that will require an explanation.
James,
You don't reckon those nice folks would be lying, do you? I declare!
Police in Philadelphia doctoring police reports, wouldn't that entail a conspiracy? It would perhaps take some astute Community Organizing to pull off that hat trick, wouldn't it…………………?
It's a shame about the audio tape legal problem. Got to keep the heat on ACORN about the Philly lies. The full unedited tape will prove who is lying and who isn't.
Ok, I've already given to all three defense funds, is it time for a second round????
Please donate to the legal defense funds! They're putting their necks on the line for us!
Interesting how James O'Keefe is named.
looks back dated to me
Time out – 10:44am. Time in 11:05 am. How can the time out be before the time in? Am I reading something wrong here?
So the woman in the Philly ACORN office thought it was more important to file a complaint on 'verbal disturbance' not a prostitution ring. She didn't think the pimp and pro's wardrobe was unusual, huh? I guess she thinks it's normal to wear fur coats in the middle of summer.
Very good question. I wonder if James is already on top of this one.
Question 1: to whom is this still a surprise? Who could possibly still believe them?
Question 2: could we provide those people with an extra dose of prophylactics and abstinence education? I'm thinking about the future of our gene pool here…
Went to Philadelphia Police Reporots. Put in required field. No report listed!!!
I have a great idea for your next sting. One of you guys or Breitbart guys should PM me and we can work it out.
a few problems i have. first the name on the complaint, is a man, but we see two women in the video. next how do we know this was actually from the date written? no date stamps, or other official date notification. i am wondering if a real journalist could look up that complaint number, and see if perhaps the preceding, and following complaint numbers were issued on that date as well, or possibly issued sometime later, say september? because they did'nt know james name, until much later, how did it appear on this complaint before they knew his name??
Went to Philadelphia Police Reporots. Put in required field. No report listed!!!
Maybe they filed the report after Big Bertha started faxing all the offices saying….I do declare children there may be a spy in our midst.
Are you F@%*&%G kidding me??
Didn't even think to do that, nice work!
Wouldn't it be positively SHOCKING if the report is fake? LOL
I can hear Big Bertha now, "The Philadelphia Police Dept. faked the report all on their own we had nothing to do with it!"
[...] James O’Keefe posts about the possible false police report I mention above. I’ve added a scan of the report below the [...]
I agree, please donate. Even though in our system you are innocent until proven guilty I think acorn has already proven to us that they are guilty.
hat would be great! Just hoped I looked dit up correctly. Why don;t you try it?
I am a college grad. Just can't type!
Answer to all questions: These questions are all rhetorical at this point. ACORN Lies through it's teeth all of the time. The video can demonstrate that the police complaint is bogus. My question is: Was that police report put together *AFTER* the other videos were released back in September?
It was their only hope at any defense at all, and, James, YOU WERE CAUGHT JAYWALKING.
In the video, why does Katherine Conway Russell hold up a copy of the police report, why doesn't she hold up the original?
Perhaps they should be, however don't expect it out of the Philly prosecutor. Now, if it had been the other way around – I'm sure that they would be devoting an entire corp of investigators and presecutors. This is the City where you kiss someone's a** to get a city job and you don't make waves unless you're prepared to lose that job.
If he is a "pimp" for the Constitution, then I thank you form the bottom of my heart.
I can understand confusion over "out-in" times. It depends upon how they define them, I guess. What's more interesting to me is "time of occur". According to this document (and assuming that the earlier in/out time is the time the officer reported), the "disturbance" occurred less than five minutes before the officer got there.
Wow. A four-minute response time to a complaint of a "verbal disturbance" at an ACORN office. Looks like there's some sort of temporal disturbance at that location.
It's so obvious they filed the "disturbance" report after the first video was televised. Backpeddling. How moronic and how stupid do they think "we the people" are???
James and Hannah have a special place in heaven reserved for them. I know and I'm not even that religious. PLUS they both have a great future ahead of them!!
I had the same thought, why the real name, and they said he was 30, sorry but James looks about 20 to me, LOL
Anyone make sure this was the original and not a modifed copy?
Also anyone else find it strange that a "Verbal Disturbance" was reported, no report of pimping, child prostitution, transport of minors for the purposes of sex slavery, illegal immigration viloations and and attempting to defraud the IRS
If someone asked me to do that I woudlnt report a "Verbal Disturbance"
Something seems really wierd

acorn had their chances — they blew it
I just want to say "Thank You" to you two, and to Mr. Breitbart, for……. well, for telling the truth! I hope that ACORN's suits all get dismissed soon and that they get their just reward: an unceremonious burial.
So where was the "Verbal Disturbance"? The only "Verbal Disturbance", was from the the ACON worker talking.
Very Interesting……………….The Saga Continues
Someone near Philly should look into how the DC numbers are assigned (see top line of the complaint). One would think they should be consecutive.
What are the dates and times of the DC numbers just before and just after DC #35965? go maybe 20 back and 20 forward see if there is normally a pattern and if the pattern was broken.
This guy is a pro at destroying lives. From Wiki: " Harshbarger found public prominence and political success, like Janet Reno, by prosecuting cases in the day care sex abuse hysteria of the 1980s.[citation needed] He obtained the conviction of Gerald Amirault and other employees of the Fells Acres Day Care Center in Malden, Massachusetts.[citation needed] The Amirault conviction has been widely criticized as a gross miscarriage of justice in publications as politically diverse as The Wall Street Journal[2] and The Nation.[3]"
What has bothered me from the beginning, is Ms. Lewis initial nervousness that quickly turned to bravado. It gave me the impression that she had been reassured by those in high places that they would be protected.
All of the pieces of the puzzle seem to keep pointing to there being a great deal of power protecting them. The final straw for me was when I realized that Acorn has played an important, if not prime, role in getting Democrats elected. This left me with the ugly feeling that the Dems will not let them go under. They need them for the 2010 and 2012 elections. Please take care of yourselves and I pray for the truth to prevail in all. Thanks for your hard work and guts.
The DC look up number is
Year District 0 DC Number so it would be
2009 09 0 35965 (no spaces)
When I enter it in though it says no valid for this type (the only types they seem to expose are theft, burglary, accident and stolen auto)
So I dont think this is for against it being a real report.
Excellent idea. I have thought from the time this document surfaced that there is something wrong with it. It does not make sense.
Ok, this may be dumb, but I think the White House is trying to isolate Fox because of Acorn and trying to control the rest of the press from reporting on Acorn. They need them for the upcoming elections.
Says here Keith Crosby is a lead ACORN organizer.
http://www.kyw1060.com/pages/4707644.php?
I agree it's an odd thing to call in a verbal disturbance, that's like calling in jay walking at a hit and run.
Dont put too much into apparent inconsistencies though, cops are notorious for being sloppy and having bad hand writing etc.
Anyone find a guide to reading a philly report report? Time in could be called in, out could be dispatched
I think it's year 2009, district 09, not sure about the 0 then the control which somehow defines the offense type in part.
That's cuz you *ARE* a college grad and endured at least four years of "I'm going to use words with a specific meaning to convince you that words have no specific meaning." It's a wonder you can still eat with a fork.
Actually that brings up another question. Is this an internal police report, or is this a report they give to the public? (Sorta like when you get a ticket.) If it's an internal police report, then the original is at the police station filed away somewhere (although if ACORN can get a copy, surely some local media personality can get one too). If it's something they give people who call them, then ACORN should have the original themselves.
I just went looking at the Philadelphia Police Department website. It looks like they have very limited information online but that anyone can walk in and request a copy of their records. Are there any truth seekers in the Philadelphia area that can go research this? Here's what their site says:
"Extracts of police incident reports are available from the Philadelphia Department of Records, Room 167, City Hall, Philadelphia, PA 19107, 215.686-2266. Copies of reports are not available from the Police Department or individual districts. You can, however, inquire as to the content of reports on file at police districts. In all cases, persons who wish to obtain a copy of an incident or auto accident report must submit a form with the required payment. Forms can be obtained from the Department of Records, any police district or, if available, from this web site. "
http://www.ppdonline.org/hq_faq.php#Q3
E-Mailed a police officer (nice guy)
He says the report is in the computer and the date and times are legit.
If I'm not mistaken, time out refers to the time they left to answer the call and time in to the time they returned to the station or patrol or whatever. In other words they spent about 21 minutes getting the information.
Obama's "magic" is nothing without ACORN and SEIU delivering the votes. Among other things, they gamed the electoral college by transporting people into key states with closely contested races. They recognized that a surprisingly few votes could deliver an enormous block of electors. It represented an utter perversion of the integrity of our electoral process, and ACORN was the instrument of destruction.
I documented one particular case of a woman from Austin who was transported to Ohio by ACORN. She owned a "political consulting" (organizing) business in Austin. She maintained her business, as well as her Austin residence. But she went to Ohio to vote, and she even made the mistake of doing an interview about it. And in that interview, she indicated that she was just one of many individuals from across the country to do the same thing. After the election, she went directly back to Austin, and resumed her normal routine. I was as clear of a case of voter fraud as I could imagine, and her involvement with ACORN was clearly stated. But I couldn't find anyone who would pursue it.
One of the things that enabled ACORN to insert so many voters, through various illegal means, into swing states was the efforts of a group called the Secretary of State Project. If you aren't familiar with them, do a search and read for yourself. For several years, they funnelled an incredible amount of money into Sec State elections, for the express purpose of controlling the 2008 (and subsequent) elections, by giving cover to the illicit activities of ACORN and others. If the Sec State says that election officials may not verify the residency of those voting in their state, there is virtually no recourse.
The example above is just one of countless documented cases of voter fraud. Unfortunately, the average person is simply unwilling to believe just how widespread it was, or how brazenly corrupt ACORN was willing, and able to be. Most people believe that, "If it was really that bad, somebody would stop them." If any of you know who that "somebody" is, I would love to talk to them.
One way or another, ACORN will be involved in the upcoming elections. They have so many different identities, stopping them will be much more difficult than simply taking down the one formally known as ACORN.
Thanks GSH. I appreciate your info. But it sure does make me sad. It doesn't sound like there is much than can be done outside of a miracle. I hope that miracle comes through Breitbart, O'Keefe, and Giles. I just saw Greta Van Susteren on Fox with a guest… it was not favorable because of the editing in the Philadelphia video and the police report. I do hope the truth prevails… sooner than later.
I see the box for "Unique Description of Offender" was not checked "Yes or No". So do all their female clients dress as hookers? There wasn't any description of the "offenders" in the complaint section either. Obviously, neither ACORN or the police were not very serious about getting these criminals off the street!
Notice the timing of the police report? The good Cpl was there for a very brief 20 minutes! You can barely get a traffic ticket in 20 minutes. Obviously the police officer was doing his duty, but there wasn't much here but hot air.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it a crime to falsify a police report?
Falsify a police report indeed. How did the policeman who took the report know his name was James O’Keefe? It’s on the report…how did they know that unless the report is fake, made LONG after the fact?
James O'Keefe, please answer as to when you gave them your real name. Is it on the video? If not, where did it come from to be reported to the police? Have you looked into who the person who filed the report is in the ACORN organization? Roll out all the information in your own time…. you've been doing just great so far! Many Thanks to you and Ms Giles. I have the utmost respect for you both.
Actually, the report is not a numbered citation. The handwritten number on the report is given after the desk gets a complaint number to assign. The report is also not an investigative report, merely a statement from the complaitant, who in this case, is not a witness, thus not liable for false statements. Also, the complaint call was clearly made AFTER the incident, and not to 911 (T/C Dist means telephone complaint to the local district, NOT 911) . P/O K is simply recording the complaintant's statement, not verifying it. In Philly, citations are numbered, while complaint numbers come from the computer.
I retired from the Commonwealth of PA last year and was handling waste, fraud and abuse cases back then, so there is another probable reason for ACORNs police report and coverup. State agencies had for years been working the ACORN case. Nobody was able to do a criminal referral to the Philly DA , and only a Dept of State nailing under Charitable Organizations laws was ever completed. Unlike ACORN's other offices, the Philly crowd had every reason the suspect Jim/Hanna were state investgators, and the best way to confirm that they were staties with an ongoing criminal investgation was to see how the Philly PD handled it. If Jim/Hanna get tossed in the PD roundhouse (awaiting detective interview) overnight and the PD tosses every location Hanna might have been, then ACORN knows they have a problem. If the cops treat it like an after hours club, then ACORN knows they do not have a problem. Note the complaint was made by ACORN managment AFTER the workers did/discussed the interview with their management. __A real Jounalist would know about the Harrisburg ACORN disputes, and in fact, AP could not have talked to the Philly DA/PD without being referred to Harrisburg sources. __.
James did you use your real name when you went into that Philadelphia Office???? That is my big question! If you didn’t then HOW COULD THIS POLICE REPORT BE REAL?????? If it is real then I would have to assume that it was printed up at a much later time, say maybe right about the time that the first video came out and that girl in the Philadelphia Office recognized you and tried to cover her own butt! Hey just thinking out loud here!
Did a search for 'Keith Crosby Acorn Philly' and found…
http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinio...
which is their spin on it before the video was released. According to them, James called someone else in the office who mentioned it to Crosby, and they later heard (after the fact) from Katherine Conway-Russell about the session. Seems to me like the police report was a CYA type thing. The fact it doesn't mention underage brothels (or even mention Hannah at all (or even an unnamed companion) is quite telling.
[...] O’Keefe comments on the call that another ACORN employee made to the Philadelphia police, some time after [...]
Is there some way to verify when (or whether) a telephone call to the Philly PD (or 911) took place? Was the call recorded? If so, I would think that it is public info, just as 911 recordings are.
They can get bogus votes counted on election day, millions of tax dollars,..getting a police report/paper/paid police would be nothing. I hear acorn gets millions of tax dollars at the end of this month., What a horrible disgrace this whole election con-job is on America!..HORRIBLE!
APORN is a microcosm of the Democratic party, so of course they lie, cheat, steal, spin, smear and slander. And I'm sure they were prepared to suborn perjury. Now, they can't. So what's plan 'B'? Get the President of the United States to defame Fox News and decry the APORN saga as a non-story. Much the way the looney left still believes that Monica Lewinsky was a 'non-story'. Voter fraud, Slander, Taxes and Welfare are the only things that have allowed the left to survive. What will they do now?
as an outsider, that idea did cross my mind. It does seem that the White House Admin has ramped up their attacks on FOX after all of this was exposed….. maybe getting too close to the real source of the corruption….
I think the Gene pool is safe… Have you SEEN what they look like?
What we need is another prohibition on alchohol. Thats the only way these Acorners will ever have sex.

Keith Crosby is with ACORN. You can see on his Facebook page that he is friends with people in various ACORN offices across the country.
I'd have to put Philadelphia up there with Chitcago as two of America's most corrupt cities.
As for the ACORN lawyer……seen him on the tube many times….what a friggin' creep. Ewwwwww.
A friend of mine was hit by a deer two months ago. He was driving a rental car at the time. After the incident, which was at 2AM, he drove home. He had purchased the insurance on the car, but the car company told him (6 weeks later) that he needed a police report. He called the local police in the area where it happened. They told him that they could create a police report for him and back date it.
Having ACORN call the police after the videos started coming out and create a back dated police report seems a fairly easy thing to do.
Real Journalists would be asking to speak with the officer(s) that filed this, the person who is listed as the complaintent, and would be asking more questions about the whole encounter that led to the generation of this document. There appear to be sufficient inconsistencies as to warrant questioning the validity of the document. I find it odd that they question the muted portions of the video, question the motives of the film makers, question the integrity of the film- but not this document.
Yes, I know, this document is a "police report" and that makes it valid, right? Because if there is one thing we know about the left, it is that they have an UNQUESTIONING loyalty to the police- they NEVER protest their motives, actions, or morals, right?
We have your back O'Keefe.
Keep doing what you do. It's appreciated and needed!
Philly PD is required to write a 75-48 for any incident they respond. The fact they did no refer it to the detectives says volumes. I think if they had your name(s), knew you were trying to commit money laundering and child prostitution, they would have sent it to the detectives for follow-up.
because it's an indent and not a crime or an accident, you actually have send a written request. I checked the sequence numbers for the district that day and it does look correct. The only issue stuck out to me is the sequence number would have been issued way after they departed.
I'm still baffled as to how ACORN got O'Keffe's name. Wasn't in disguise? How does his name appear on a Police Report 45 minutes after he left when he never gave them his name? Did someone recognize him? Is this police report fabricated? Was O'Keffe's name added later after the videos came out? It wouldn't be the first
Did he drive his personal car? My guess is they got a tag number and gave it to the police. The police innocently ran the tag to id the "offender" and presto, ACORN now has his name. Just a guess. We need the 9-1-1 tape and a check if the tag was ran.
The answer to this question can be found with a little research- Apparently, they had his phone number from the appointment he had made. With very little investigative work, they were able to track down his name. At least, this is how ACORN explained it back in September. They claimed that while she was interviewing the two of them, Mr. Crosby was calling the police to report them.
Not sure as to the accuracy of this, but that is how they got it.
They probably filed this on someone else who they didn't know their name. Then saw an opportunity and updated it with your name after the videos started coming out.
OK, I did a little (very little) leg work on how they got the identity for all of those of you who are wondering. According to ACORN claims, Keith Crosby was calling the police WHILE they were in the office and she was talking to them. They got James name from his phone number that he used to set the appointment. The truth to all this? It sounds plausable to me. That would also be a good indicator as to the validity to the odd ball time stamps- because the police did not show up until they left, but were summoned while they were there. What it does NOT cover, however, is the lack of relevant information about the said conversations, the willingness to deal with the "criminal activity" going on, and the lack of participation on the part of the MSM to INTERVIEW the people involved to get to the truth of the allegations.
As far as that goes, this "police report" is no more a damning piece of evidence than Dan Rather's Bush Hit Piece- until it is authenticated and the people involved speak out, it is bunk.
this is the same scott harshbarger who destroyed the lives of the amirault family by fabircating satanic abuse charges against them in1984. even the nation magazine agrees that the entire case was a gross travesty of justice.
this is the same scott harshbarger who was president of the leftist group "common cause" a few years ago.
asking harshbarger to investigate ACORN is like asking ACORN to investigate itself.
James, so far a flywer is the only paper from ACORN you've shown (or really possess). Why have you not produced any paperwork filled out for loans or mortgages to obtain housing? Any tax forms? Anything? Bueler?
Is it because ACORN didn't help you fill out paperwork and begin the process of actually committing fraud, so the only weapon in your attack of ACORN is candid camera? Thought so.
I'll bet my good leg that this is falsified. Not only should the previous and following reports be checked, but also the 911 tapes. I'll guarantee this is just as hinky as everything else these criminals do. I'll also bet this "officer" has some significant ties to the nuts.
I'd also bet our young friends know it – and are (once again) giving the criminals enough rope to hang themselves.
After seeing those two, why would you report "a verbal disturbance" and not "an underage prostitution ring"?!
Mr. O'Keefe- I commented about the report in another thread on BigGovernment.. Maybe somebody has already pointed this out in the comments section, I don't know. I just left a 17 year law enforcement career at a large PD and I can answer your questions.
1. Somebody at ACORN smelled a rat after the fact.
2. See #1.
3. When being dispatched to a call, the police operators have pre-set codes to classify the calls with. "Verbal disturbance" is boilerplate for "go investigate somebody calling about an unwanted customer/client/trespasser, etc. The officer wrote that he went to ACORN in ref. to a verbal disturbance. That means that he is clarifiying how the original call was classified by the dispatcher.
4. See #1.
5. Because in spite of all the "learning by experience" ACORN has undergone for the last few weeks, they are still to stupid to realize that you were probably sitting on another video.
Keep on doing what you are doing. Nobody really believes ACORN. Not even their supporters (because this isn't about truth, at least from their perspective).
I checked online. The only reports available for Philly are for theft, car theft, burglary, or accidents. If you have a different site, please share the link.
I also check Philadelphia County magisterial docket sheets and neither James nor Hannah have been charged with anything at all there.
If you look under the record commissioner's seal on the right-hand side of the police report, you will see some interesting information. This is apparently a printout of the report obtained from the record commissioner on September 25, 2009. It's "authorized" by a Cpl. Crenshaw #8307.
That may be some information to work with.
Lets look at the questions and answer them from an activist Point of view a person that actualy works with woman that have been abused.
(1) Why did the Philadelphia office apparently waste taxpayer money and scarce police resources calling the police about a “verbal disturbance” by two people they were happy to help?
Because one of 2 things happened..
1. they believed you were real prostute and pimp – you file the report the police give a police report that is meaningless and wait and see if you show up again so the cops can track the criminals that want to set up a criminal enterprise.
2. They felt something was going on and you were a strange person that the cops should have information on should anything happen.. like you trying to create a story and attack them.
(2) Why would ACORN file a police report after warmly helping us with our purported “prostitution business”?
Because they are a business and they are not going to make a seen. What they will do is protect themselves. Police reports do protect them very well
(3) Why would ACORN make a police complaint about a “verbal disturbance” when there was no disturbance?
Because there was no crime committed at the time against anyone in that office or anyone in the office all they had was a talk with a person that they were concerned about.
(4) Why did ACORN apparently call the police as many as 45 minutes after we left?
Probably to collect notes and information and other clues that the police would require or that the office would require should they have to take some form of legal action.
(5) Why does ACORN apparently think that making and publishing an after-the-fact police complaint would cover up its willingness to help our “prostitution business” and its lies about what happened when we visited?
Because ACORN didn’t was not wanting to do anything to you until after all this stuff happened they just held onto legal documents and evidence and now they can use it against you.
I do hope you get better legal advise James, talk to an attorney tell that person everything. Talks you had with Brightbart, FOX, and any detail no matter how small. I don’t think ACORN cares about sending you to jail they want bigger players. You are looking at a long long time in jail in many states.
You know what I would do if I learned information that people were going to traffic in 13-yr-old girls, and use these child slaves for the sex trade?
I’d call about a verbal disturbance.
I’d also accuse murderers of jaywalking, but that’s just the kind of helpful citizen I am.
